​I am an aspiring biomedical engineer with four years of pre-professional experience spanning original research, product development, and entrepreneurship. I am a self-motivated scholar with a primary focus in biomedical research, but also further academic interests spread across disciplinary divisions. I have received national and international recognition for scholarship and writing in areas including psychology, creative writing, and global health policy. I am also a recent Korean immigrant, both proud of my heritage and grateful for the opportunities I have enjoyed in my new community. In recognition of the debts I have incurred as a newcomer, I have proactively engaged in community building and in local service projects that extend a helping hand to those in need. I will continue to pay forward by leveraging my entrepreneurial experience and research expertise to develop innovative solutions that can address unmet needs in healthcare.
